Head Coach Amanda Safford oversees the Pendleton Swim Club program, providing strategy for swimmer development in a competitive environment. She is a swimmer herself who was in PSC as a youth, swam successfully at PHHS (look for her on the Wall of Fame) and went on to compete collegiately at the Division I level at Butler University. She came back to PSC about ten years ago and has progressed in coaching positions including our Head Coach. She has also served as PHHS Head Coach in years prior.

Coach Jeff started his coaching career for Pendleton Swim Club in 1990 when he served as a assistant coach for the summer season and continued through the winter season and the 1991 summer season. He was promoted to PSC head coach for the 1992-1994 summer seasons while in college. After a brief hiatus after college he returned to coaching as an assistant coach for the Pendleton Heights High School boys and girls teams from 1999-2003, and Head Coach for the PHHS girls team 2003-2018. Under his tutelage, many PHHS swimmers and divers continued with successful athletic careers in college. 

Professionally, Jeff practices Landscape Architecture in Indianapolis for Rundell Ernstberger Associates.

Coach Dixon is the Head Coach of the PHHS Mens and Womens Swimming Teams and also the Head Coach of the PHMS Boys and Girls Swimming Team. He coaches the PSC Arabians.

Coach Heidi is both a PSC coach on deck and our Learn to Swim Coordinator! She began swimming from a very early age.  Growing up with both grandparents having lake houses provided lots of summer time swimming, skiing, kneeboarding, and so much more!  Heidi was a part of Pendleton Swim Club along with her brother from the age of 5 on.  She swam through the beginning of high school and then chose another sport to focus on (cheerleading). Heidi has been a first grade teacher for more than 20 years! She has been coaching with PSC at many different levels.

Heidi lives in Pendleton on her family’s farm land with her husband, Jaime.  She has two of her own kiddos who are swimmers on the PSC team.

Coach Ashley is a Pendleton native who also swam as a youth at PSC and had a successful swim career at PHHS. She still holds a few club records in Butterfly! Ashley enjoys motivating swimmers to do their best and obtain PRs as they drive toward achieving their larger swimming goals. She has coached almost all the groups over the past ten-plus years she has been involved with PSC doing Learn to Swim, Administration, Coaching and as a swim parent!
